Plant of the Week – Snapdragon

March is here with all it’s glorious madness!  Between college basketball and the warming weather, it is no wonder that Indiana gets to such a fevered pitch during the month.  Eagleson Landscape Co. is full swing (joining in with the madness) and we are incredibly excited for this coming season.  Now let’s talk about this weeks plant of the week, a floriferous annual that catches the eye, the snapdragon.Snapdragon in Bloom

Snapdragons are wonderful full sun plants that add great mid range height to a landscape.  Blooming at many points throughout the season snapdragons boast a wide color range including orange, white, green and red.  If properly maintained, mainly with some low key pruning, these wonderful flowers will bloom multiple times throughout the year.  Their stunning blooms are great for containers, in a border or as cut flowers in a vase.  They attract honey bees, hummingbirds and butterflies providing a fun spot for you to watch nature from.  A deer resistant flower, snapdragons are great low maintenance plants you will be able to enjoy immensely this season.  Read more about snapdragons at this great blog!
