Plant of the Week – Pansy

It has been a wonderful week here at Eagleson Landscape Co!  Our new place of business, apply named the barn, is being cleaned up and readied for the upcoming year.  Nothing gets a landscapers blood flowing like warm weather, nursery visits and new jobs to look forward to!  I hope you are getting all your gardening tools cleaned up and readied for this coming spring.  This week on plant of the week we are going to discuss a flower who’s smiling faces are contagious.   A wonderful perennial, that we grow as an annual in our area, give it up for the pansy!Pansy Bloom in yellow

These little flowers have “faces” on them that are always smiling, even in the early cold mornings of spring or winter.  A wide array of colors makes the pansy fun to mix and match together.   They are great for container plantings, borders or just about anywhere you think is fun!  Be sure they are getting sunlight and water, perhaps choosing to grow them in a spot that will give them lots of morning sun and less afternoon sun.  Always be sure your pansies are receiving plenty of water or the hot summer suns will make them wilt or burn, similar to a certain Homo sapien that cares for them!

A wonderful flower with bright colors that will bring some fun to your landscape.  Read more about pansies here and decide if they are meant for your landscape.Pansy Hanging Basket
